Hailing from the iconic Grand Cherokee model line, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is a product of the fifth generation of Jeep’s popular SUV lineup. Introduced for the 2021 model year, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L was a bigger version of the Grand Cherokee, adding a third passenger row. The standard transmission is an 8-speed automatic. With the stronger powertrain, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L can tow as much as 7,200 pounds.

The Grand Cherokee L debuted with a length of 204.9 inches, which was more than a foot longer than the regular Grand Cherokee. Its wheelbase was also longer by about 7 inches. And in terms of weight, the Grand Cherokee L was heavier by about 130 pounds. Comparing the latest model releases, however, the difference in size has shrunk. For the 2024 model year, the Grand Cherokee L is only about 11 inches longer and has a 5-inch longer wheelbase.
