The Ford C-Max is a multi-purpose vehicle that Ford sold from 2003 to 2019. Originally called the Ford Focus C-Max, it has a five-door compact MPV design and is configured as a front-wheel drive (FWD) vehicle. For the US market, the C-Max was sold under a hybrid-only lineup starting with the 2013 model year. In its initial release, both a plug-in hybrid and a regular hybrid option were available.

Sales of the Ford C-Max in the US spanned only its second generation of production, which also coincided with the third generation of the Ford Focus. With the 2018 Ford C-Max, only the hybrid variant was offered. Two trim options were available, namely SE and Titanium. Both trims came with the same 2.0-liter I4 engine mated to a CVT. Together with the electric motor, total output was 188 hp and 129 hp. Not particularly impressive if you’re looking for sportiness, but solid for any MPV. As a hybrid vehicle, EPA fuel economy numbers are 42 mpg city, 38 mpg highway, and 40 mpg combined. Features that come with the Ford C-Max SE included 17-inch bright silver aluminum wheels, a 4.2-inch LCD with voice recognition and AppLink, a 6-speaker sound system with active noise cancellation, two 12-volt DC outlets and one 120-volt AC outlet, and carpet floor mats for the front and rear.

For the Ford C-Max full hybrid, the usual frequency for oil and oil filter change is every 12 months or 10,000 miles. Check your owner’s manual for your model’s applicable frequency.
