The Buick Century was one of the oldest vehicles to be marketed in the 2000s. It was introduced by Buick as early as 1936 and was last sold for the 2005 model year. During its first two separate runs which started in the 1930s and then in the 1950s, it was produced as a full-size car that served as the companion to the Buick Roadmaster. For its third and last run, it was produced as a midsize car. In China, the Buick Century nameplate is used for a luxury minivan.
The sixth and final generation of the Buick Century ran from 1997 to 2005. The 2005 Buick Century was powered by a 3.1-liter V6 engine that produces 175 hp and 195 pound-feet of torque. A four-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive were both standard. Inside the 2005 Buick Century, you get a six-speaker sound system with speed-sensitive volume control, remote keyless entry, power heated mirrors, and dual-zone air-conditioning.
